Edge Protocols

The edge protocol tools test the edge protocol transport layer used by a HISP to send and receive Direct messages. Edge protocols handle the communication between the HISP platform and end-user Direct clients or other messaging systems.

Clicking Edge Protocols in the sidebar or on the dashboard opens a selection page with four protocol cards: XDR, SMTP, POP3, and IMAP. Each card navigates to a dedicated test page for that protocol.

Important: Edge protocol tests require a Server Configuration profile to be set up before a test can be run. See the Server Configuration document for instructions on creating and managing profiles.
